I recently did a remix for the popular German band Rainer von Vielen, as part of a remix contest. RvV is a very quirky and creative band, and I had a lot of fun with their odd mix of instruments and atypical sounds. Many of their songs combine modern electronics with more traditional German styles, going so far as to include accordians, brass instruments, and the odd stab at yodeling. Not your typical remix fodder, for sure! The track that I remixed was titled "Asche zu Asche", which translates to "Ashes to Ashes", though it has little in common with the classic Bowie tune by the same name.
