The popular Belgian music webzine Dark Entries recently posted reviews of the Testube Treatments remix disc and my latest full length Off Purpose. I recently did a remix for the popular German band Rainer von Vielen, as part of a remix contest. RvV is a very quirky and creative band, and I had a lot of fun with their odd mix of instruments and atypical sounds. Many of their songs combine modern electronics with more traditional German styles, going so far as to include accordians, brass instruments, and the odd stab at yodeling. I've just completed a Testube remix of the new Front Line Assembly track "Hostage". This is for a remix competition, with the winner to receive some awesome music production software from the likes of Korg, Camel Audio, and Platinum Loops. The contest ends on November 15th. I enjoyed working on my remix and I think it turned out pretty slick. I'm also humbled to have gotten the chance to remix a very influential post-industrial pioneer that I've been listening to since I was a teen. keep reading »
