TESTUBE

Testube will be remixing an exciting track titled "Forget Me Now" from the band LowHero.DLL. Often hailed as the male counterpart to Ladytron, LowHero.DLL delivers dark and powerful electropop tunes in the vein of Fischerspooner, coupled with emotive vocal charisma and straight-razored lyrics ala The Legendary Pink Dots. I contacted Tommy T. yesterday to inform him that I have withdrawn Testube from the DSBP roster. Unfortunately, it was part of a reply to one of his "sheeple" rants, and I said a few things that I probably shouldn't have. It's a shame that I had to leave the label on a sour note, but I have this nasty little tendency to let things bottle up over time and then unleash the poison tongue. I spent most of this morning rearranging and cleaning up the studio. Previously I had just thrown most of it together and did my best to make it so that all of my gear was accessible. However, things were feeling somewhat disjointed and there was no "flow". I decided to put away most of the synths and other gear that I don't use regularly, and the room is much more organized now. I also managed to setup a workstation for Christina, who is spending more time blogging lately and deserved more than just a corner of the desk to rest her laptop.  keep reading »

I have just been informed by Christopher John that Justin Butts, one of the original founding members of the band I, Parasite passed away on Saturday. Justin's footprint can be heard on early I, Parasite tracks and his unique creative approach to songwriting will be missed by many in the industry.
