Testube to host Dance of the Dead on Halloween Night!

Dance of the Dead

I'm thrilled to announce that Testube will be hosting a special "Dance of the Dead" Halloween Party and canned food drive on October 31, 2012 in the haunted underground level of the Eureka Springs City Auditorium. This is part of a three day Eureka Springs Zombie Invasion that we're organizing for our town. The dance will feature a three hour exclusive electronic mixdown of your favorite Halloween themes, ranging in style from 80s and electro to dubstep, glitch, and IDM. Costumes are encouraged, and this is an all ages event. Cost is only $5 and a can of food, so if you're in the area please drop in and shake your bones for a good cause.

In addition to the dance, I will also be acting out a comedy skit at the Zombie Variety Show on November 1, and will be part of the hungry horde of zombies that takes over Eureka Springs on November 2 during the First Annual Day of the Dead Parade and Zombie Crawl in Eureka Springs.  keep reading »

Message From Beyond the Grid

Just wanted to drop a quick note and say 'hello' to everyone. I hope you're having a great year so far. Things are a bit slow at the Testube lab right now, as I'm keeping super-busy with other projects. I'm in the process of building a house, so the studio is in a state of suspended non-existence. And to be honest, it's killing me that I haven't had time to work on any new tunes lately. Is there such thing as creative withdrawal?  keep reading »

New release from LowHero.DLL features Testube remix

Worse than Digital

My great friend and musical mentor Jonathan Chalker has just released a brand new EP from his superb electro project LowHero.DLL. This new release, titled Worse than Digital, features six original tracks and a cover of the Australian act Snog's infamous smasher "The Ballad". Taking the man versus machine concept to an entirely new personal level, Jonathan's latest release on Glim Records oozes with electronic pop hooks, sensibility and charm, deceptively convincing you to lower your mental guard while his edgy social commentary hooks its barbs deep into your psyche. Melting the superficial gloss and plasticity of typical contemporary electropop, Worse Than Digital targets the carbon fiber facade of modern ephemeral technology and offers a glimpse to the future. And as if that wasn't enough, there are five additional remixes (including one by Testube). Enough ten cent words already - check it out!  keep reading »

Post-Apocalypse Reissued

I'm happy to announce that I finally got around to reissuing the third and final out-of-print Testube album from my days on UEF Records. You can listen and download at my official bandcamp store, and it is available from the usual sources (iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc). I also have a limited number of physical copies available for those who are still into that. Get in touch if you want one.

I'm also hoping to digitize the remaining Wrack Process cassette masters in the next month, and upload them for free download at the official Wrack Process site. I'll post an update when that happens. Hope everyone had a happy turkey day. :)  keep reading »
